Monthly French Dancing

Join us on the 3rd Friday of each month, except July and August, for some traditional French dancing. Beginners are very welcome. We start at about 8pm and finish by 11pm. The dances include waltzes, bourees, schottishes, mazurkas from the centre of France, as well as dances from Brittany and the Occitan. We bring nibbles and cakes to share and always provide tea and coffee but please bring your own alcohol if you wish. We usually have about a dozen musicians playing fiddles, melodeons, whistles, French bagpipes etc. So do bring an instrument and join the musicians to learn the tunes by ear. Periodically we invite bands from France to play for dancing in Tinwell Village Hall.
